The market arcade is home to eight permanent traders, with shops open every day except Sunday. This includes a local butcher, fishmonger and greengrocer, plus other Brecon favourites.

Well known locally for its high quality and locally-sourced produce, Paddy Sweeny and his small team have been delivering a quality butchery service for fifty years. Paddy set up shop in the Market Arcade in 1975 and has been trusted by local people and as a wholesaler to many local businesses ever since.

  • Mondays and Wednesdays: 8:30am–1pm

A family-run fishmongers, MacDonalds of Brecon has been trading in the Market Arcade for more than 20 years. They supply a range of fresh fish and seafood, including a wide range of produce sourced from around Wales.

Brecon Wool Shop

This little shop is a crafter’s dream, offering yarns, patterns and haberdashery supplies. Owners Natalie and Chris continue the 45-year legacy of Knatty Knitters, a beloved cornerstone of Brecon’s Market Arcade. Dedicated to fostering creativity and community, they sell yarns and supplies for crafters of all levels.
